Zine Transluce & Oltreforma by Giorgio Bartocci (commercial edition)

On the occasion of the exhibition Transluce & Oltreforma by Giorgio Bartocci and 56 Fili, SpazioC21 produced a publication of the same title in 115 numbered and signed copies (100 commercial and 15 special editions).
The 40 stapled pages recall classic zine formats and adopt the A5 size, typical of many self-published works—a tribute to the artist’s background and his connection to countercultural environments.
Printed on a selection of different papers whose colors evoke Bartocci’s work, the zine recreates, on paper, the same effects of transparency and layering that ideally occur while walking through the installation at SpazioC21 in Palazzo Brami, Reggio Emilia.

The screen-printed title on the cover uses a special varnish that renders the paper transparent. Each copy is further customized with scraps of off-cut paper—residues from the production of the exhibited works—hand-applied to the inside back cover.
Transluce & Oltreforma by Giorgio Bartocci and 56 Fili is a refined artist’s zine produced as a unique-edition series.
Each copy is vacuum sealed.
