His practice encompasses installation, video, photography, sculpture, and engraving, and often revolves around light, space, time, and human perception.
Ozzola conceives each exhibition as a work of art in itself: individual pieces retain their autonomy, yet come together to form a unified body to be inhabited— encouraging viewers to dwell physically and emotionally within the space. Recurring themes in his work include the horizon, memory, the unconscious, and the relationship between the individual and the infinite. Blending poetic intuition with scientific precision, he develops a visual language that engages both the senses and the intellect. His materials—slate, copper, bronze, glass, light, and found objects such as boats salvaged from shipwrecks—are treated as active carriers of meaning and experience, integral to the spatial and emotional dialogue of each installation. Ozzola’s works form interlocking constellations that explore origin, destiny, and individual responsibility within contemporary society and landscape. By transforming personal insights into immersive visual experiences, he balances intimate perception and public dimension, inviting critical reflection on the human-environment bond and our political and ethical responsibilities.

Texts by Lorenzo Benedetti, Shen Qilan, Luigi Fassi, Stijn Huijts, Aurelio Andrighetto e Giulia Gigliola.

Author: Giovanni Ozzola Publisher: Quodliber
Printer: Tecnostampa, Loreto (AN) Published: 2025
Language: Italian, English Binding: Exposed thread sewing Size: 20 x 30 cm
Pages: 208
ISBN: 9788822924070

[57
67
post-977","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-multiples","product_tag-giovanni-ozzola","first","instock","sold-individually","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
